Lastline, Inc., was founded in 2009 by university professors Dr. Engin Kirda, Dr. Christopher Kruegel, and Dr. Giovanni Vigna. Lastline’s security products synthesize and bring to commercial standards the founder’s award-winning, world-renowned academic research on malware analysis and countermeasures.

The founders are well-known for their development of Anubis and Wepawet. They have each published over a hundred scientific papers, and are considered to be today’s thought leaders on automated high-resolution malware analysis and detection.

Lastline is focused on knowing the Internet's malicious infrastructure (the Malscape™) and using that threat intelligence to create malware defenses for companies of all sizes.

By focusing on automated systems and processes, we believe we can map the Malscape at a level of accuracy and relevance not previously available.
