JB Service Corporation (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Yoshiaki Mitsuboshi, hereinafter referred to as JB Service), a business company of JBCC Holdings Inc. (Head Office: Ota-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Takashi Yamada), which provides IT management services in Japan, and Lastline, Inc. (Head Office: Redwood City, CA, USA, President and CEO: Christopher Kruegel, hereinafter referred to as Lastline), which provides technologies and services specialized for unknown threats and advanced persistent threat detection and countermeasures, jointly announce that they will start provisioning advanced security service throughout Japan.

In recent years, cyber attacks have become diversified and sophisticated, and are targeting not only large corporations but also medium- and small-sized organizations. Besides, the intervals between the appearances of new patterns of cyber-attacks are becoming shorter, making it more difficult to take signature-based countermeasures against them.

In this collaboration, SMAC, the operation center of JB Service, will provide solutions and services against targeted attacks, which utilize Lastline’s proprietary malware detection and data breach prevention technology, not only to mid-sized enterprises but also to companies that operate multi-stores or multi-sites. The SMAC SOC (Security Operation Center), which specializes in security management, constantly monitors customer’s system environment, responds to alert detection, analyzes malware, and provides on-site support utilizing the nationwide office network of JB Service as necessary.

In addition, Lastline will support JB Service by directly sharing information and expertise regarding its technologies and analysis with engineers of JB Service, and by promoting activities such as joint seminars.

JB Service that promotes JB Group’s (*1) security brand “Opti Secure” aims to generate 3.7 billion yen in sales of these services by the end of fiscal 2020.

JB Service plans to provide the following services so that measures can be appropriately taken in cooperation with various devices against the threat of cyber attacks in the customer system environment.

  • Incident Response Support Service
This service will support customers’ incident response by detecting threats that conventional measures miss, and providing specific information on how to protect against them.
  • Next-Generation Firewall Linkage Service
Based on the threat information detected by the Incident Response Support Service, this service will implement appropriate countermeasures for the customers’ next generation firewall and protect the customer environment in real time.
  • Proxy Linked Service
By linking proxy equipment and Threat Sensor (*2), this service holds HTTP/ HTTPS downloads until the safety of the files is confirmed.
  • Endpoint Linked Service
By linking Threat Sensor and security products installed in endpoints, this service blocks malicious files detected by Threat Sensor on endpoints.
