Lastline Advanced Threat Detection Now Available Fully Integrated with Tripwire Enterprise
New partnership agreement enhances Tripwire Malware Detection Service with Lastline’s industry leading advanced malware analysis technology
REDWOOD CITY, CA, October 16, 2018 – Lastline®, the leader in AI-powered network security, today announced a partnership agreement with Tripwire, a leading global provider of security and compliance solutions, that will incorporate Lastline’s advanced malware detection technology into Tripwire’s Malware Detection Service, which will be provided to customers as part of Tripwire® Enterprise. Tripwire’s resulting solution combines Lastline malware analysis with Tripwire Enterprise’s change detection capabilities to identify malware as soon as it is introduced to a system.
“Cyber incidents always involve some kind of change to a system,” said Tim Erlin, vice president of product management and strategy at Tripwire. “Monitoring for change is a fundamental security practice. Embedding malware detection into our host-based change detection solution enhances security teams’ ability to mitigate cyber threats. Lastline offers the best malware detection technology available today, and we’re excited to now be able to offer it directly to our customers.”
By combining Lastline’s AI-powered malware detection with Tripwire’s file integrity monitoring (FIM), security teams can act more quickly against known or advanced threats. Tripwire Malware Detection Service works in real time for continuous protection and identifies all malicious changes made by an attacker to speed remediation. Adding Lastline technology improves the overall effectiveness and speed of detection. Leading independent research firm, NSS Labs’ 2017 Breach Detection Systems group test recognized Lastline as the only offering they have ever tested to achieve 100 percent Malware Detection and 100 percent Security Effectiveness; and the company has achieved this distinction two years in a row.
“We’re honored that such a category leader as Tripwire has selected Lastline to be integrated into their product,” commented Brian Laing, Lastline’s head of global strategic alliances. “Organized cybercriminals continue to up their game with more sophisticated threats and multi-faceted attacks that are successfully evading detection by other solutions. The combination of two best-of-breed technologies like Tripwire’s and ours will result in truly effective detection of advanced threats attempting to compromise a device or penetrate a network.”
Lastline provides innovative AI-powered network and email security products that detect and defeat cyberattacks.
