Lastline Expands Leadership Team to Continue Company Growth and Combat Malware
SANTA BARBARA, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Lastline, Inc., a provider of active malware defense solutions for enterprise networks, today announced the appointment of two key executive leadership positions in sales and product development. Joining the Lastline executive team are Thomas Miller as executive vice president of sales and Brian Laing as vice president of products. Together they bring extensive experience in IT security and will leverage this experience as Lastline continues to expand its business.
As vice president of sales, Mr. Miller will drive sales in key market segments and continue company growth. Before joining Lastline, Mr. Miller was the senior vice president of North American Sales at Zscaler, where he led all sales and channel activity in North America. Prior to Zscaler, Mr. Miller served as president of Trend Micro’s US commercial operations, and executive general manager of Trend’s enterprise business unit. In these roles he led the company’s strategic planning, go-to-market strategy, driving record growth and profits.
With more than 15 years of business vision and technical leadership in IT Security and product development, Mr.Laing joins Lastline as vice president of product development. In this role, Mr. Laing will direct product marketing, product management and strategic technical partnerships for Lastline’s innovative active malware defense solutions. Previously, Mr. Laing co-founded RedSeal Systems where he raised $31 million in funding and conceived the overall design and features of the product and helped grow them to profitability. Prior to RedSeal, he was founder and CEO of self-funded Blade Software, where he released the industry’s first commercial IPS/FW testing solution and grew the company from inception to $1 million in sales in just two years. Mr. Laing has been a speaker at RSA, InfoSec UK and holds multiple patents in the security arena.
