Former FireEye Executive Joins Leader in Network-Based Cyber Threat Detection and Defense.
REDWOOD CITY, CA — March 14, 2016 — Advanced malware protection provider Lastline, Inc. today announced the appointment of Brian Stoner as Vice President of Global Alliances. Lastline is the advanced malware protection solution of choice for network leaders such as Barracuda, Dell SecureWorks and Juniper Networks. Stoner’s appointment will enable the company to expand their engagement with leading Managed Security Service Providers and Security Consulting Service Firms.
“Malware has become highly targeted, evasive and weaponized, and has certainly emerged as one of the greatest threats that companies of all sizes now face,” said Stoner. “Lastline has a proven track record of detecting and containing the evasive malware that other solutions miss with their Deep Inspection capabilities. Security and IT experts acknowledge the success of Lastline’s strategic approach, which links key signals occurring at various points in the attack chain, and which makes them the industry’s top network-based defense. I’m honored and excited to help broaden and deepen Lastline’s industry footprint.”
Stoner joins Lastline from FireEye, where he was Senior Director of Global Consulting Alliances. There he developed a global team of alliance managers and architects to support large consulting partners. When he joined in 2013, he was responsible for developing the FireEye Technology Alliance Program which greatly expanded the company’s market share and growth opportunities through integrations with key technology partners. He was previously Vice President of Corporate Business Development for Solutionary, and the Director of McAfee’s Managed Security Services Provider Program for North America and LTAM. He has also held strategic alliance leadership positions with CA Technologies and NTT America.
Stoner holds an MBA with specializations in Finance and International Business with distinction from the Keller Graduate School of Management, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Southern Illinois University.
“Brian joins at a pivotal time both for Lastline and for the enterprise IT community, which has been forcibly awakened to new security threats over the last five years,” said Brian Laing, Vice President of Products and Business Development for Lastline. “We and our partners look forward to leveraging his vision and expertise in establishing partnerships and expanding adoptions for the industry’s leading security solutions.”
